Printed a couple of setups. Really well designed, tolerances are good, wide variety of inserts and module thingies...

Modi Boxi is pretty great. I was in on the Kickstarter haha... The biggest issue I have is figuring out which ones to print. So many!

Frequently Asked Questions

What size printer do I need to print Modi Boxi Core

The Small & Medium Boxis require a printer with a bed size of at least 180x180. The Large Boxi requires a printer with a bed size of at least 230x230. There is a composite option for the Large Boxi where you can print it in four separate pieces and assemble it. A Large Composite Boxi can be done on a printer with at least a 180x180 bed size. For all the Boxi’s and trays in Core, we recommend a printer with a bed size of at least 230x230.

Great system. Easy to print, easy to assemble. So many different options.

Good components to make boxes. but it needs more examples on how to configure them

They really thought of everything when making this. Its almost overwhelming at first! We have started printing a bunch of smaller boxis for holding parts and hobby related things and finally organized all my paints only to realize I need many more paints to fill the XL drawer! The only downside is it uses lots of filament but oh well, its worth it.

The design is great but honestly it's over priced, the bits you'll likely want are in expansion packs that are also over priced. If it was $35 then I'd advise people to purchase but at this price I'd advise to try cheaper options first

It’s great potential and love the design factors more interested in the modi case just wish everything had better instructions as I say that I understand it’a probably difficult to do with all the different types of customization just something to get started but all in all very good product and a great idea down the line I’m excited to see how far it’s progressed and I’ll stay a customer

It's pretty good, but I'm havingn issues making the boxes from the pictures, some more tutorials or examples would be helpful

while the system as a whole is impressive. It has a huge learning curve, with many projects requiring pure trial and error. (Will this piece work for what I'm trying to do, is there a better piece somewhere in the 1000s of available pieces) it's like getting a super advance Lego set without instructions. Users would be better served with more example builds and better instructions that used more of the available parts. other systems I have used are more user friendly at a fraction of the cost.

I really like the idea. Organization of files is confusing and overwhelming. The system is great for its customization. However, there are little resources explaining what is what. I'd recommend making some common example builds on youtube for people to follow along with. Much easier to customize from there. This is the only reason I would not recommend at the moment

It took me quite a while to find the example builds and until then I printed a bunch of extra stuff trying to figure out how it all fits together. A negative experience I have is printing the "Large lid dice tray", which I hoped would go with the large dice roller. I printed the one that has front bolts so I could use the dice roller as a lid for the dice tray attached to the lid, (confusing I know), the front bolts cannot match up to the hooks of the box the lid is attached to because the dice tray and lid make non standard heights. Other than that, things seem to be printing well and going together.

The parts and designs are fantastic. The instructions could be more comprehensive in areas e.g carrying handles and there mounts.

Love the system! Everything prints clean and strong! The only negative I have is the rail system struggles with the 30+ mm round bases from GW
