We heard you. The instructions are being rebuilt.
Let's be honest, Builders. Some of you have told us our instructions are a mess, and you're right.
We've read the reviews. A few lines came up again and again:
-
"The instructions are a mess."
-
"The file names in the instructions are different from the files."
-
"It's scattered across two or three PowerPoints."
Modi Boxi has grown fast. XL, Core, Pro Pack 1, Pro Pack 2, and Modi Case add up to thousands of STL files. The instructions didn't keep up. Slides were made at different times, files got renamed, and some builds only made sense if you already knew how they went together.
So we're starting over.
What's coming
A new instructions website, made from the ground up for Modi Boxi Builders. Over the next few weeks, we'll show you a piece of it each week. Here's the short version:
-
Every pack in one place. No more hunting through PowerPoints. XL, Core, both Pro Packs and Modi Case live on one site.
-
File names that match. We checked every instruction file against the real STL files. When the instructions name a file, that's the file you'll find in the folder.
-
Composite parts, explained. When a piece is made from several prints, the build shows which ones and how they fit together.
-
Step-by-step builds. Every example build has its own page with the parts, the counts, and the pictures.
Next week
We'll walk through what's changing in the files themselves: Modi Boxi v015. Every pack is moving from v014 to v015, with cleaner file names and the new Modi Bolts.
We hope these changes materially improve your experience with Modi Boxi!Â
