Modi Case V_001.c Update: New Doors, Deck Holders, Beast Handles, and a Major Round of Fixes

Over the last 10 days, we've released several small updates to Modi Case. With Version V_001.c, we're rolling everything together into a single release and adding a number of new parts, quality-of-life improvements, file corrections, and expanded instructions.

This update introduces new doors for adapters and Simple Cases, new deck holders for trading cards, Beast Handle support for additional extender sizes, and a large collection of fixes across racks, extenders, trays, and mounting components.

Thank you to everyone who has been testing, reporting issues, and providing feedback. Your help continues to make Modi Case better with every release.

New Parts & Files

New Doors for Medium-to-Large Adapters

We've added dedicated doors for the Medium-to-Large Adapter configurations:

• L_front_door_1_MTL.stl
• M_front_door_1_LTM.stl

Important: Print 2x Medium and 2x Large doors instead of the part labeled "1".

Simple Case Barn Doors

New barn-style hinge doors are now available for Simple Cases:

• Hinge_BarnDoor.stl
• L_Hinge_BarnDoor.stl
• M_Hinge_BarnDoor.stl

Available for both Medium and Large cases.

Hole Plugs

A set of hole plugs has been added to help clean up unused mounting points.

New 2H Deck Holders for TCG Cards

Designed specifically for trading card game storage:

Large

• Beast Handle Centering Adapter for Large Horizontal Extenders

New 3-Hole Wrap Hinges

New hinge option mainly for Simple Large Cases:

• Modi_Wrap_Hinge_3_hole_XX.stl

Gap Plates

Gap plates have been added to prevent smaller trays from sliding front-to-back when used inside larger Modi Case configurations.

Modi Loops Added

Modi Loops for Modi Case are now available in the Shared Files folder.

Beta Folder Additions

Big Minis Holding Brackets

A new bracket system designed to securely support larger miniatures during transport and storage.

The brackets use Modi Loop arms to help keep oversized models safe and stable.

Tray & Paint Bar Locks

If your trays or paint bars move more than you'd like, these locks help secure them firmly in place.

Fixes & Corrections

Non-Manifold Repairs

The following files have been repaired:

• MC_Rack_BTM-R_LVL_XX.stl (4 files)
• Modi Bolt Rack V04.stl
• M_2xMC_Horiz_BTM_LVL_02.stl
• M_2xMC_Horiz_Top_LVL_02.stl
• M_2xMC_Vert-R_LVL_02.stl
• X_2xMC_Vert-L_LVL_0X.stl (all 8 files)

Horizontal Extenders Updated

• All Medium Horizontal Extenders (M_2xMC_Horiz_xxx_LVL_0x.stl) have been updated.
• Large Horizontal Extenders were rechecked and verified to be correct.

Folder Organization Fix

• L_2xMC_Horiz_MTLB_LVL_05.stl was located in the wrong folder and has been moved to the correct location.

Vertical Extender and Door Improvements

M_2xMC_Vert-L_LVL_02.stl

Fixes include:

• Export bug on the Modi Bolt 0.5 hole corrected.
• Door hinge adjusted to improve closing performance, especially on prints with slight bed lift.

Missing Files Added

The following missing file has been restored:

• MC_Center_Rack_Key-wall_LVL_04.stl (Medium)

Mislabeled File Corrected

• MC_Center_Rack_Key-wall_LVL_03.stl (Medium) was actually the Level 04 version and has been relabeled correctly.

Tray Fixes

• Missing pull tabs added to:
  • L_small_parts_tray_2_LVL_05.stl

Paint Tray Improvements

The following paint trays have been adjusted to sit flat on the print bed:

• L_paint_trays_28mm_LVL_05.stl

Mount Bar Fix

Large and Medium Plus mount bar hangers and feet have been updated to include the center reinforcement that was added to Modi Cases.

Sorry for the oversight on this one.

Updated 3MF Files

All .3mf files have been updated to reflect the latest changes and fixes included in Version V_001.c.

Instructions Expanded

We've continued improving the documentation and have added additional detail throughout the instructions to make assembly and configuration easier.
