After months of prototyping, testing, redesigning, printing, organizing, and rebuilding, we’re excited to officially announce that Modi Case is now live on BackerKit!
The campaign will run from May 12, 2026, until June 16, 2026, and the files will be distributed soon after!
Modi Case is the next evolution of modular 3D printable storage from the creators of Modi Boxi. While Modi Boxi focused on flexible modular organization, Modi Case expands the idea into a fully customizable case-building system designed for storage, transport, and tabletop gameplay.
With Modi Case, you can build custom-sized cases for:
- Miniatures and terrain
- TCG decks and accessories
- Paints and hobby tools
- Dice and RPG gear
- Board games
- Portable DM screens
- And just about anything else you can imagine
Everything is fully modular and designed to print on standard home 3D printers with no glue, screws, or special hardware required.
The system includes over 700 STL files and gives makers the freedom to create cases exactly the way they want them. Build compact carry cases, giant storage cabinets, gaming command centers, or portable hobby stations. If you can imagine it, you can probably build it with Modi Case.
One of our biggest goals with Modi Case was making tabletop organization faster and more flexible. We wanted something that could help reduce setup time, simplify transport to game night, and evolve as collections grow.
