Tray Maker was unlocked during the Modi Case campaign after we passed a stretch goal. We received LOTS of questions like 'Does Modi Case support this brand of paint' or 'Does Modi Case support this size of mini base,' and now the answer to that will always be YES! Instead of trying to create files for every possible hobby item, we decided to build a tool that puts the power in your hands.
Now you create exactly what you need.
What Can You Make?
Tray Maker allows you to create custom holders for paint bottles and miniatures. You can customize:
- Hole sizes
- Mixed-size layouts
- Grid or hex patterns
- Circle, square, rectangle, and hexagon shapes
- Number of rows and columns
- Edge spacing and offsets
The result? Downloadable STL files that are tailored specifically to your collection.

Community Feedback Is Already Making It Better
One of the coolest things about launching this early is watching everyone push the software in directions we never anticipated.
Some suggestions already coming from our Discord include:
- Better visualization and contrast for holes
- Oval base support
- Deeper wells for miniatures
- Advanced positioning controls
- Additional shape options
In fact, several features have already been added based on community feedback, including rectangles and other usability improvements. That's exactly why we wanted to release it now rather than wait for perfection. This is a living tool that will continue to evolve with the community.
